My son's coach (13u) has not committed to a season ending tournament yet. Any suggestions? He keeps saying he wants to see where everyone else is going. I think we need to commit.

wait. no reason to commit before the season starts. 13's arent like 12's whereby you have to commit to Cooperstown early. About the only tournament that the 13's are full with a waiting list is the 2 Ripken tournaments in june and July. Grand Slam WS II has a pretty big tournay. Generally aver 30 teams. Can wait until june to sign up

If you have not been, go to the Triple Crown Slumpbuster tournament in Omaha during the College World Series. It is an awesome experience that is hard to beat. The boys enjoy seeing the college games. They TC tournament is always a really good one with a lot of competition.

Can't go wrong at the USSSA Global Sports World Series in Gulf Shore/Orange Beach AL. July 14-18. 7 GG and the fields are wonderful.

I would not recommend going to Omaha as 13 year olds. The fields they use for the 13 age group are poor. They use softball fields- portable mounds are very small, bases are at the edge of outfield grassline.Speaking of grass-- about 6-8 inches of tall fescue. The ball would hit the grass and stop! The fields for other age groups looked very nice.
