How will that affect team this weekend at the Super NIT?
Effective March 17, 2017
The USSSA marked 2 3/4 DeMarini CF Zen-CBZ 17 Model (-10) has been provisionally withdrawn from USSSA sanctioned play BY Wilson/DeMarini in cooperation with USSSA while BPF compliance testing on that model is completed. A final decision on this model should be reached in the next 14 days. Please contact DeMarini |

Timing on this announcement is very interesting. Also, interesting in reading DeMarini's official release stating "Additionally, if you are scheduled to play in the USSSA tournament taking place in the greater Atlanta area this weekend, and are in need of a new bat in order to participate, please contact our partner at Better Baseball in Marietta, GA. Better Baseball has agreed to help us exchange your 2017 DeMarini CF Zen (-10) 2 ¾ barrel bat with one of the following models:" Seems like the issue was generated right here in Georgia and not nationally as the USSSA guys are saying. Why would DeMarini only point out the Georgia area in their full press release? |

Just for the record, this isn't the first time that USSSA has banned a bat at a moments notice.....right before a big tournament, banned it strictly in Georgia and allowed it to be used in the rest of the country.
Here is food for thought, if I am not mistaken....that bat already has a "USSSA BPF" authorized stamp on the bat, right? |
