Received this from a good friend today. Some of you may know Mike through Fundemental Sports Center or from coaching in and around Forsyth County.... My sons team had quite a few indoor practices at Fundementals and Mike was as nice a guy as you could meet.

It is with a very heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of a member of the Lanier Baseball League family. Coach Mike Mangum passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, October 20. Mike coached the 8 year old team Fundamental Longhorns in the league this past spring. Mike also owned and operated the Fundamental Sports Center in Cumming and was very involved in all local sports.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mike’s family and friends. Mike is survived by his wife and 3 young children. Please keep the Mangum family in your thoughts and prayers.

Mike was a great guy and he will be missed. He was an assistant coach for my sons team and a friend. He always put the kids first. He leaves behind three children and a wonderful wife. The attendance tonight at the funeral home spoke volumes about how many peolple he touched in his life. He left this life way to soon. His family was his life. A "GREAT" father and husband. Please keep his family in your prayers.
