brands are truly a personal opinion, but my son seems to like Easton. They seem to brake in very quickly and have different "levels" of gloves depending on the skill of the player. I best advice I can offer is do not get a glove that is too big. Bad habits are often formed because the glove is too big.
I have seen others on here make the same recommendation but the Nike Diamond Ready glove seems to be the best for the value. It is easy to close, which is important at that age. It is not expensive, so if you lose it, replacing it won't be so painful. Good luck in you glove selection.
I've always liked the Mizuno power close gloves which have the cut in the leather at the hinge to make them easier to close. I'm sure there are others just as good but that is what we have always used and still do.
