75% of the teams won't play Friday ( traffic, working that day, save money) Agree it's going to rain SUNDAY but after schedule goes out on WEDNESDAY not much can be done. Enjoy your (2) games SATURDAY |

I agree that Friday night games are just too hard to get to. Then again, my son is on the field in John's Creek right now. Whats a little rain? |

I agree, play on Friday night, people can get to practice on weeknights, what is the difference? Also, start bracket play on Saturday afternoon please. Nobody cares about waiting around to see if you play or not. If you're resting up for the next day then most likely you're night is shot anyhow. Most tournaments you have to go 3 games to championship on a Sunday, it's inefficient. |

WHAT?
Oh my, okay, I can get my son to his local practice at 6pm on a Wednesday night. That is WAY different than have him at a ballpark 30-90 minutes away from where you live at 6pm for the 7pm game in Friday Atlanta Traffic. And you can't start the game later than 7 because most of the times these CHILDREN have been up since 6am because they had to get to school that morning.
Bracket Play on Saturday Afternoon...yeah okay if you have 6 teams in the tourney or 20 fields involved you might be able to get 2 pool play games over by Saturday late afternoon/night, but that does kind of suck for the team who had the 8am pool play game, then the 11am pool play game. They now have to hang out at the ball park or local restaurant for 4-6 hours to see if they have to play in the 6pm or 8pm bracket game because they can't really go home because that is 30-90 minutes away and they won't have enough time to get back to the park after the pool play game is over because the bracket game starts 30 minutes after that ends.....does this sound like a good time? |

Hanging out waiting to see the bracket posted is the best part of travel ball...hanging with your team, etc. FUN! |

When you sign up for Summer travel ball you best understand that games will be played Friday night, and while it may be difficult to get your player there you will need to make arrangements to do so. As the players get older and start playing Perfect Game, you can expect to have games during the day during the week. They won't care that you have a job and are at work, you will be expected to make arrangements to get your player wherever/whenever the game is. And having games played in the early morning and having to come back to play in the evening is not all that uncommon. There is nothing "fair" about the assignment of game times/locations. You just deal with whatever hand you have been dealt and make the best of it. That down time can be great opportunities for team bonding. |
