Getting super twitchy on my end. Gonna start going to some tourneys this weekend just to see some youth baseball games. Doesn't even matter that we won't play any of these teams. We don't get started until the last weekend of the month and it can't get here soon enough. |

My children seem to be enjoying their closets full of clean clothes I get to wash on the weekends right now.
Although, as my son pointed out they each seem to have about 10 "Winter Outfits" but 30+ "Summer outfits". I have a a theory as to why! |

Ready to watch baseball, but the kids don't want to play on the cold weather. Season should shift to start late March and end mid-July. The Atlanta area is not suited for year round baseball.... |

That's hard to do when school gets out in May. My son's school has their opening game set for Monday. At the moment, it looks like light sleet in the 30's. Glad I have to work :-) |

Hand warmers, foot warmers (key item), wool socks, boots, ski jacket, long johns, hat, scarf, ski gloves, heater, heavy arse quilt. It was in the 30s with a 20 mph wind Monday night and started snowing. I wasn't cold but felt bad for the players and coaches!! |

Can't get here soon enough for us! Let's just hope all that rain we suffered all fall and winter break got it out of its system and we don't have a repeat performance in the spring! |

Will never happen. I've had more than one AD/HC tell me they'd lose 20% of their team to grades if they had to go 2nd semester. |

My 8th grader made the freshman team and has already had several practices and a scrimmage with the Varsity and JV teams (the freshmen won 13-10). We parents have been freezing our...ahem...toes off while they practice, seemingly oblivious to the cold. They finally called the last two practices because of the cold. Their season starts with a double header on the 20th. Hoping the weather will break so they can get some decent practice before then.
I think I;m almost as excited as he is. |

HS ball you have no choice but to start sooner then later. Travel Ball you have the choice.
Made our schedule for travel ball and we don't start till end of March. Not fun for kids or parents to play in the cold.
HS kid starts this weekend. 33 is the high. Not looking foreward to it to be honest! |

There was a time where I thought the travel coaches were nuts for scheduling their first tourneys at the end of February/1st week in March. Now that I have seen the high school schedule I understand the travel ball coaches were cutting us a break!
On the plus side, you can't leave a 9u kid to fend for himself at a foreign ballpark....BUT.... I feel VERY comfortable abandoning a 9th grader with $20 and a cell phone! |

That is awesome! Most coaches and teams seem ready to go based on the Triple Crown tourneys already booked starting in February...it feels like a race on who can get in as many tourneys compared to their peers? Maybe they feel they will fall behind... |

The main problem with the buddy heater is a stiff wind can blow out the pilot. The best solution I have found for windy/rainy days is one of those personal tents. There is enough room for one chair and the buddy heater and it can get downright tropical in there as you watch the other parents freeze and give you very envious looks. |

We have already been looking at some tents that have a canopy over top |
