Question I was wondering about on 10U at Cooperstown. Are they playing 50/70 like the 12U does, instead of 46/60?

Bandits win big 15-4 or something
643 was losing 2-0 in the bottom of the 6th and had a spectacular comeback to win 3 - 2 WOW!!

they both play again at 12:00 I think
643 plays a California team " TABU "
the Bandits play the Texas Nationals Team

3 California teams , 2 Florida teams (who play each other next) and 2 Georgia teams and 1 Texas team in the Elite 8

GA, FL, TX, and CA have the most baseball talent (and football) The 10's week at Cooperstown is unique because it is the only week. Many of the best of the best want to see how they'll do against the rest of the country.
This year Georgia sent 5 teams, Texas sent 4 teams, California sent 10 teams, and Florida sent 16 teams. (FL has roughly twice the population of GA, TX has roughly triple, and CA roughly quadruple.) Two GA teams in the finals says alot about what goes on north of Atlanta every weekend. Where are all those Florida posters when we need them?

What a great job by both GA teams. Bandits are awesome and 643 is awesome. Both teams should be proud and thank you for representing GA so well. My son is 11 and for us to watch this together was great.

Thanks needs to go out to both coaches THANK-YOU.

My hat is off to 643, they made it to the championship and beat the 1 seed went 11-1 in the tourney "with their real team" , "no pick up players" , "no studs from other teams" , Just there kids.

I like it ! Great job and hats off to those kids.

OK Guys. It is officially the morning after one of the greatest days of Baseball Papa's life. This ranks right up there with some great moments such as marrying the girl of my dreams, the birth of my children and of course my grandchildren and many other greatest moments.

I have to admit that it seems like the movie Bill Murray was in called "Groundhog's Day. I will explain why. Bill Murray would wake up every morning and the same events would happen day after day and nothing would change. This is the way Papa feels. Papa has been to Cooperstown 3 times in his life. To get to the Little Majors Stadium a team must manuever through 88-100 teams. Sounds impossible to do this even once but Papa spent the 3rd night of his life in the stadium watching another one of this grandson's march into the stadium with his friends the 10U Bandits.

My 12 year old grandson just finished 2nd in the championship game one week ago and now his 10 year old brother has won the championship in one of the greatest displays of heart and desire that Papa has ever witnessed from a baseball team. My 12 year old also won the championship with Chiefs baseball as a 10 year old. This borders on the realm of being impossible but it is true. There are more headlines to this story. One of the players on our team also was a part of the Chiefs when they won it 2 years ago and now has claimed his 2nd 10 year old title. This has got to a first and we also had 2 guys on our team that has brothers that won 2 years ago at 10. What an accomplishment and you would appreciate it even more if you could have seen the parade of teams that marched into this stadium for opening ceremonies.

Some things you do are very exciting but only stay with you for a short while but this experience will be with these young boys for a lifetime and someday when they are teaching their grandchildren the game or just having a catch with them which is the way Baseball Papa started with his grandsons they will look back on this past week and remember it as one of the greatest moments of their lives.

Thank you Mr. Doubleday for creating this great game that challenges us to the fullest. Papa also thanks the many teams from Georgia that prepared us for this week. Without the competition we face every time out in Georgia we would not have been prepared for this tournament. Georgia was represented well with the 643 Cougars, East Cobb Scorpions and East Cobb Tigers letting the world know what Georgia baseball is all about.

I know Florida and California are bigger and that they have more people or capita as Moser puts it but baseball is not about geography, it is about preparation, it is about heart, it is about desire, and it is about perserverance and most of all it is about reaching down deep inside when you are behind and finding the will to dig deeper and this is what 643 and the Bandits have done all week.

I most of all want to thank our Coaches and our parents that have become and will now always be family for the greatest season of Baseball Papa's life.

Any regrets about not being able to rematch versus San Diego? I think that would have been been the preference.

TopScout: Of course we wanted revenge but on the other hand San Diego appears to be one those teams that has gotten into the Bandits head. We cannot seem to ever play Bandit type baseball against them and I cannot fathom why.

But as bad as I wanted to play them I think the purpose of any championship game is for the two best teams to play and I feel that is exactly what happened. 643 earned the right and I mean earned as they played and beat the best teams this nation offers.

One of the Bandits tradition prior to each game is to form a circle and do their chant. Goes something like this: Uh Oh, Uh Oh, Yeah, Uh Oh, Uh Oh Yeah, Bandit Baseball, Bandit Baseball, coming for ya, coming for ya, Oh yeah. Prior to the championship game at Cooperstown a new tradition was begun. Both the Bandits and 643 Cougars formed a circle around the pitchers mound and the chant finished with "GEORGIA BASEBALL COMING FOR YA". And instead of each time yelling Bandit Baseball or Cougar Baseball each team was yelling "GEORGIA BASEBALL" What a night this was my friend.
