bmoser-They have a great web site. You can check your friends' teams' schedules and even watch their Web Cam games on your computer. You can also see results going back several years if you know anyone who has been there in the past.

I see that there are two SD Stars listed a North and a South. Is one of the teams more dominate than the other? |

Guys this is Baseball Papa writing from TuckersBo log in. Bandits are here and more than ready to play ball and we don't really care who we play against. San Diego North is the better team the way we understand it and this is who is in our pool. We also feel that the Team Avalanche out of Florida will be ready to play so two of our toughest games will come the first day. Moser: It is my opinion that we have prepared the best we can just because of where we play. Papa feels that if you can win in Georgia that you can win anywhere. No doubt that this will be the toughest draw of the year so far. I thought that Coach Steve had connections in Georgia but I now realize that his connections reach throughout the United States and especially in Upstate New York. The Scorpions have a very good pool and should do well and I expect all of the Georgia teams to give a good accounting of Georgia baseball but guys this is one tough test and I have hope that we have all done our homework. |

PaPa: thanks for the update, and please keep them coming for us 10U junkies out here. I'd be there if my son didn't have States next weekend. Would have killed me to have to leave, just when its getting really good.
I need to get a teenager 'round here to show me how to watch it on the Worldwide web. If they have a centerfield camera, I'll relay what pitch is coming :)
Please ask JC to buy an extra video for me of the weeks action. Thx

Moser: We are heading to the skills competition but to be truthful we have not put much work into this part of the tournament. We will compete with our best but none have praticed their event very much but maybe our athletic skills might be enough to at least compete.
Can't wait for tommorrow and to be truthful I didn't sleep much last night as the upcoming games kept replaying on the old baseball reel of Papa's brain. I feel that we are ready as we can be but Moser this is the ultimate of the ultimate event and there are so many great teams being represented and I fully realize how lucky we are to be able to be a part of this.
Go to cooperstowndreamspark.com and log onto the live TV feeds. I don't know if any of the other teams will be on TV tommorrow but I know that the Bandits might be on Monday. Look for us and I will give you a high five on camera. I will pass the video thing on to JC and we will be sure we get you one. |

Guys, I have heard of the great 100 degree sunny weather you boys are enjoying but up here in Cooperstown it has done nothing but rain, rain, rain. Most of today's event were cancelled including the opening ceremonies and skills competition. We will try again tommorrow and keep you informed of all that transpires. Bandits play Team Avalanche out of Florida, and then the fierce San Diego Stars. Keep your fingers crossed Moser as you know how important these pool games are and our work is certainly cut out for us. I have seen many of our Georgia friends here and know that we all are itching to play. Good luck to all but especially my Georgia friends. |

Rocky: You are quite correct. Bandits were run ruled by San Diego North Stars. Several factors figured into this one but the one that will rule is the 11 walks that we gave up in 4 innings. I have watched these pitchers for 2 years now and cannot remember an entire tournament that we walked 11 batters. We played as bad as we could play and they played about as good as they could play and this formula will get you beat everytime.
Good news is that we have been here before and know how to regroup. Remember Georgia guys that the pool play is just a battle that we fight to position ourselves for the winning of the war. There will 4 more of these battles before the real war begins. Also remember that our pitching is solid and that if we can begin to play some Bandit baseball that we are still right in the middle of this thing.
We started pool play out with the State AAU Champion out of Florida that has beaten Mizuno Glory this year and then turned around and played the California State Champion and this was all in one day. Another factor although this should have affected both teams and not just us was that the San Diego game ended at 1:30AM and I am sure the little guys were worn out.
Wish us luck as we are going to need every bit of luck that we can muster up.

Papa, Good luck to your team going forward. My advice, from being in this tournament before, is they need to win the rest of the pool games and give up little to no runs. They need to be the first 1-loss team in the seeding. It can mean a difference of playing 1 or 2 extra games to get to the finals. This tournament is like nothing they have played before because it is back-to-back games once they start playing. No other tournament works that way or has this many teams.
I fully believe these boys can regroup and work their way back. Good luck to all the GA teams in Cooperstown this week. |

Won 5-4, won 9-3, but lost one today 6-4 Scorpians should have won. |

Pool play is about having fun and not looking back. If you can't finish top 14, go for top 32. Bracket play is what matters.
Don't let the kids get all worn out in the skills competition on Wednesday before their games. They are not mandatory... |

Scorpions come back and win again 9-7 on a great bunt in bottom of 5th and some very good base-running. They are on a role.
- Scorpions, Tigers, Bandits are all 3-1 - 6-4-3 is 4-0. - N GA Storm is 1-3 with some very tight losses. Nice team!
That puts GA teams at 14-4 so far in pool play. Not too shabby, but these CA, FL and TX teams are very tough. |
