Norcross is a little stronger than the Op Storm. Aside from ES, the rest of the GA teams are just trying to get better by playing much stronger teams. Bay Bombers should run rule all these GA teams.

We are going to play this tourny for fun. We are going to pitch kids that don't normally pitch as we are looking to rest some arms. So come ready to play and you just may beat the Bombers. It's in our backyard so it's hard to pass up. |

Eastside / OP Storm / Reds - No disrespect at all meant here, but it depends on who is pitching as to how they perform. That's very typical in AA/AAA ball, and actually even higher level teams too. Typical "bell curve", several kids are stronger than others, and several kids are on the low end and may even be marginal travel ball players. This game is about 50 % pitching and the opposing teams performance directly relates to who is pitching to them. I sometimes cringe when I hear someone say "we just didn't hit today" to explain a loss, but in my mind I automatically at least partly credit the other teams pitcher.
Regardless of how the teams perform, Good luck to all ! Hope you have a fun and safe trip to the beach ! I too would like to see the Bombers play.
PS - Southwest Cyclones - Don't know of them. Where do they play ? Legion Field ? How about Next Level Bulldogs ??? |

In the 13u division all 4 of the 2-0 teams are from the fine state of Georgia.
1) Roswell Hornets- who by far had the strongest draw 2) North Georgia Red Wings 3) Central Park Titans 4) Spatans Baseball
A pretty strong showing if you ask me. The Hornets beat the Memphis Travelers 8-0 and a strong team from Jacksonville 7-1. The Redwings shutout there 1st team and scored 22 runs in there 2nd contest. The Titans won both of there games handily scoring 26 runs between there 2 games. The Spartans also played well scoring 17 runs in there 2 games.
It should be a great weekend for the teams from Georgia. |

Looks like the GA teams did pretty well in the Battle at the Beach tournament. Two of the final four were GA teams and the only one run rulled was Oregon Park by the East Side Venom(Marietta). The Venom went on to lose in the championship game to the Lynn Haven Longhorns 6-3. The Longhorns beat the Bay County Bombers 7-3 to get to the championship against the Venom. The Venom beat the Longhorns in pool play 9-3. Georgia held their own against the Florida teams. Venom run rulled three teams in this tournamnet. |
