Seminoles have been playing well as of late, but I'd go with Southern Jaguars to win it all. Best hitting team top-to-bottom that I've seen in 11U this year. Stars have a good hitting team as well, but they have a few smaller players like the shortstop, who are more singles hitters. Every Jags player seems to have the ability to hit doubles/triples on a regular basis and a few of the bigger ones will take it yard on smaller fields.

It will be interesting to see how Shook's experiment of playing mostly 12 year old tournaments for most of the season will work out for the Longhorns.

Didn't see the Buckhead Braves play this past weekend, but they did well in the Triple Crown tournament, so they could be a sleeper.

Kennesaw Xtreme seems to have really fallen off a bit from last year. Losing their head coach and top couple of pitchers would hurt anyone though. I'm curious to see if this team is able to hold onto their top talent at the end of this season.

Final Predictions given those teams listed:
1) Jaguars
2) Longhorns
3) North Georgia Blazers

Of those teams listed, I'd have to go with the Jags, then N.Ga Blazers and Longhorns. If the Roadrunners or Stars get in it, then I’d put them just below the Jags. Speaking of the Stars, Hanging Curve, I agree the Jags have a better hitting team, but I'm not sure how anyone who has watched many of the Stars games could knock their shortstop. I’ll take a switch hitter who can drive the ball to the outfield and steal a base with power guys hitting behind him in my lineup any day of the week, especially a kid who can play his position like that kid. No brainer. But all in all, should be a good weekend of baseball.

Hanging Curve, I don't see the Stars listed for this tournamment. The Jags will run all over every team!! Their hitting is unstoppable!!! I have not seen any other 11U team hit as hard and consistant as they have this season. The RoadRunners are very close behind them when it comes to hitting. They are both very impressive teams at the plate!!

MY PICKS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1- JAGS
2- HORNS
3- SEMINOLES
4- BLAZERS
Where are the Stars & Roadrunners this week?

Interesting possible matchups
Jags v/s Horns- Horns blanked them in the Super NIT
Blazers v/s Seminoles- Seminoles are 3-0 in this matchup
Jags v/s Blazers- Interesting to see what happens minus "ERRORS"

Should be a fun week of baseball for this group of 11u players and fans.

Late entries but happy to see.
With the arrival of these two I favor the Jags and the Roadrunners.
Seminoles are playing very solid.
Stars & Braves will cause some havoc.
Horns are a mystery but keep your eye on this team.
Blazers drop out of my earlier top 4 prediction

Props to the East Cobb Stars and Knoxville Stars for getting to the finals of this double elim tourney. East Cobb goes 5-0 on the weekend winning both Sunday matchups with Knoxville. 14-1 score in the finals. I saw some of the games and there was some good baseball played this weekend.

Stars beat Seminoles and Blazers by a combined 19-2
Horns beat EC Braves 9-0
Jags beat Renegades 7-2

Buckhead Braves and Xtreme in Dogfight when I left.
Roadrunners play Renegades & Jags back to back tomorrow

Renegades and Blazers better regroup tomorrow because it won't get easier on Thurs.

Jags are clearly the best 11U team in Georgia..........hands down. The "top 2" ECB teams were not very impressive again during the tournament as both were sent to the losers bracket early.

Longhorns were down early a couple of times, fought back but lost.....too little too late. Stars were beaten 2X by the Kennesaw Extreme....which was totally unexpected and must have hurt a little. Not sure if the Stars or Longhorns are really making the right decisions when it counts? The Braves are clearly the most improved ECB team and can give either team a run for its money any day of the week.

The Roadrunners played a great game against the Braves then lost to the Stars. Both were very close games with a lot of late inning drama.

Fun to see the Renegades and North GA Blazers play well. Seemed like the Blazers just out coached most of the other teams by using their best pitchers when it counted. They hung in with the Jags for a couple of innings and then, lights out.

Great job by the Seminoles to make the tournament enjoyable!
