If the ECB Stars have a desire to play in it, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up qualifying for it. They are a very sound defensive team and I'm curious to see what happens when they next play the Longhorns. I was told that they ran out of pitching in the Slugfest because a few of their top pitchers had sore arms and Rusty refused to pitch them.

Looking at the SUPER NIT tournaments on USSSA doen't look like but a couple more teams will be playing in another Super Nit...You have to remember this age group last year didn't have ANY teams playing in Disney......

Ronicard, If I'm not mistaken, I think the Stars beat the Longhorns at the Slugfest this year.

marinersfan,
The Stars did indeed beat the Longhorns this year at Slugfest. Since then though, the Longhorns have won the Super NIT, albeit without having to play the Stars.

I was simply saying that I think these two teams are, in my opinion, the best 2 teams at East Cobb and are 2 of the best in the state. It's no coincidence that their coaches are two of the best at teaching fundamentals and building a program as well. I have watched both teams play and have a lot of respect for both of these programs. So, with that being said, I was saying I'd like to see them play again because it's always fun to see 2 very good teams square off against each other.

And my comment about the Stars running out of pitching was in reference to their game in the finals versus the Southern Jaguars (who are a very good hitting team and, when their pitching is on, can play with anyone around).

The Stars are seeking out the best that they can find as well as the Roadrunners and Jags...These guys are really getting out there looking for the best tournaments they can play in..It would be nice for them to be able to play at the Eliete 34 this year..All three are at the Battle of the South where there are no easy POOL play games..To me thats what will show you when a team is really good...

I gotcha, Ronicard, and agree with your analysis.
