The 12u East Side Chargers will hold tryouts Saturday, July 25th from 11am till 2pm at Larry Bell Park, 592 Fairground Street, Marietta. We will be on field 2. Please arrive by 1030am at the latest to check in.
The Chargers play at a high AA level and won 25 games this season and won 4 games at the Grand Slam Tournaments World Series in Panama City last month.
We had a very good season this past year with no drama and a lot of chemistry and are looking forward to the same this season. We are a spring only team but will practice during the fall once a week and will play a few scrimmages and tournaments starting November 1st. This gives your son a chance to play another sport in the fall.
I can't say for sure how many kids we are looking at taking but we could always use more pitching and hitting. We have a great group of kids and parents who get along and that is what we are looking at continuing. I am not interested in kids who can't operate within a team concept or parents who think their kids should be pitching every game and batting cleanup all the time. We do not have paid coaches but we will have coaches who have pitched in college working with pitchers and we will have a hitting coach working with the kids during the year.
To register, go to eastsidebaseball.com and click on the info/forms tab and go to 2016 travel ball app and fill out. You must be no older than 12 by May 1st, 2016
