Can you all share your experiences and recommendations for a end of season, culminating tournament event? Obviously there is the Cooperstown and Ripken tournaments, what others are out there and what was so fun about them?

We have really enjoyed Panama City Beach, FL. I know that there are 2 organizations that share the Frank Brown Sports Complex http://www.playballinparadise.com during the mid summer.

Grand Slam Sports http://www.grandslamtournaments.com/tournament_list.aspx and
Simply the Best Sports http://www.simplythebestbaseball.com/

I believe that USTBA has an event in Destin as well.

They both do a wonderful job at the tounaments. You can check the progress of the pool-play games from their websites from your Condo. There are plenty of vendors and pin trading. Most pool-play games are during the earlier part of the morning which leaves the afternoons for team party gatherings, swimming, go cart riding, etc. The beach is a huge attraction in itself.

If it rains, and it will, wait 20 minutes and your playing again.

You actually leave the week feeling that you you were on vacation.

One that our teams have enjoyed in the past is the Fletcher Baseball National Championship in Charleston SC. Very well run, they have teams from Puerto Rico, and our teams have come back with nothing but good feedback.

Disney was a blast when we were 11u. More of a vacation than a tournament, but everybody had fun and the baseball was pretty good.

Looking forward to going back when they are older and hopefully play on the main field.

JROG - how about the cost for Disney? Were you a parent or a coach at the time and if the former, how did you feel about the cost?
