Not sure if anyone even cares, just figured I’d post them up. All 4 Georgia teams qualified for the Diamond Bracket. In my opinion there were really only 3-4 teams worth mentioning in the entire tournament (a lot of AA teams, Diamond bracket was comprised of primarily AAA/Major so no surprises there). Titans played great ball all week, FCA had a minor hiccup but played extremely well as expected and the Cobras played well through pool play losing to a decent AAA Viriginia Young Guns team in the quarter finals. Extremely well run tournament, all umpires were certified no lower than high school level (many above that, some umpire the GCL games played at Champion as well) so the strike zones were consistent and there were no major blown calls that I saw in the 9 or 10 games I watched. Only thing I didn’t really like were the 180 or so foot fields. Routine fly balls at any other tournaments we’ve been to this year turned into game changing homeruns though it did make some of those would-be standup doubles into exciting plays at second or long singles at times.
