Looking for one for my 8U to hit in the back yard. Our Lovely HOA will not allow us to put in a cage... Any recommendations?

For the money, if you plan to use it for a while, invest in a swing-a-way. Won't need a tee or someone to soft toss. You'll get 5 x's the practice for the same time. Will need garage or basement space, but it's the best hitting tool you can find for practice if you have the space.

I hear the ping from the basement at all hours. Whenever he has free time, it's so easy to get in some reps. Also, because we keep it in basement, it isn't restricted to good weather.

Otherwise, I'd recommend finding the cheapest one of these you can get. They work great and if you don't leave it exposed to elements, should last a while. This particular one is about $60 shipped. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Practice-Net-Golf-Softball-Baseball-Soccer-Football-Lacrosse-Portable-Batting-/261460240894?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3ce03ea9fe

Here's my favorite: http://www.hq4sports.com/louisville-slugger-practice-partner-silver-line-pop-up-net-slvpun.html?gclid=CPyep6D-g74CFY0-Mgodg0YAJw

I actually have two so I keep one in the garage and take the other to practices and games for tee/soft toss work. Also acts as a nice target for throws at first if my son is taking grounders.

It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to fold it down the first time, but it's a snap now. I've had them for two years and they are in good shape.

thanks Coach A.... that might be the one...

As far as the Hitaway ... I have the one that attaches to the pole and the base that you fill with water. It def helps.... my 8U sons makes a game out of it.... see how many times he can swing without messing up the flow and hitting the wire.

we have a swing away which we have set up in the basement….good for bad weather days…here is a link to it on academy sports online: http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_721119_-1__?N=882074671&affcode=42&kwid=ps_cse&cid=PLA_023676125&gclid=CO_u-7Wehr4CFZJj7AodvRAA8Q

we also have a juggs net that we use outdoors and it works as good as they get for a pop up net…here is the link: http://www.academy.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_10051_37787_-1__?N=599853124&affcode=42&kwid=ps_cse&cid=PLA_008343550&gclid=CPqPld2ehr4CFUNo7Aod9SMArA

Agree with ITK - Swing-a-way is a good investment.

They even sell them @ Sports Authority now too, and with coupons in the Sports Authority flyer's in the Sunday paper you can get a pretty good deal on one.
