Is it the norm to sign a contract to play on a team?? And if so if a player quits can the parents be sued for the amount not payed?? Heard of a parent being sued cause they signed one and now the owner of an organization wants the money.

You can file a suit for virtually anything. Winning that suit is more problematic.

We signed what they call a player agreement. We realized our son needed to play with his graduation year, not his age. This organization did not have a team for this age group, so we sent notification prior to ANY fall workouts and was told too bad, you lose your money!
