My team has only played in three tournaments and already got bumped to to Majors. I'm three players short of competing at that level. My boys are somewhat ready ,but could really use one more year at AAA leve.I don't understand either buddy. |

Make that 2 teams, one went from AAA to Major and the other AA to Major and neither team has played a USSSA tourney to justify a move in either direction. Go figure |

USSSA Reclassification WebPage http://www.gausssabaseball.com/index.cfm?TPID=137
The team I know that went from AAA to Major and had not played a single USSSA tournament had 5 "Drop Down" players on their roster. I believe one did go from AA to Major for the same reason. You are limited to 3 Drop Down players. Your team will be bumped up to that level with a fourth "drop down" player. As I understand it you can play two tournaments at the new level and can file a petition to be moved back down (Determination will be based on record at that level).

You don't say what age, but nobody's forcing anybody to play USSSA. If you don't like how they operate, vote with your pocketbook. That's what we did after our first year. We still played USSSA, but only when it was the best, most convenient option. |

Thanks for the info 3sondad. I understand the rules but still don't agree with the method. If a team is full AAA players from the previous year, it does not mean they have the pitching to compete at Majors this year. I do agree with Allstar, and that is why up until this weekend we have not played any UTrip tourneys. |

The other problem I had with USSSA is that their TD's were so unresponsive. Tony at least always gave me an answer. Not always the answer I wanted, but at least an answer. |
