I hope the link above works ? Great website that many parents NEED to visit and listen to. I think if you enact some of the same techniques, you'll enjoy the baseball experience more and your ballplayer will enjoy the experience more as well. After all, isn't that what we parents want ?
It's funny people tend to not really remember what their parents were like when they were young. Lets be honest alot of parents were over the top that had kids that ended up playing professional or collegiate sports. How many of you were spanked when you were little and think it was good for you. Not saying it was or wasn't. My dad rode me hard in sports and at times it pissed me off or made me mad but I don't regret it now. I am not saying it is going to make your kid a good player as just making it fun philosophy isn't going to make them better either. I think each parent has to realize their kids ability is god given a lot of the time and no matter what you say or how you act wont them better. So from that stand point just enjoy watching them play and be supportive. Now on another note, most wrestling parents are way worse than baseball. The guy just admitted his dad's voice was gone by the time he got on the mat. Wonder why that was? Read any book on coaching and pro players talking about how parents should be and how theirs were and most act as if their parents were angels and we all know that is not true.
