My son's team broke up and now we are looking for a new team. I planned all week. Put the different tryouts on the calendar and mapped out all the parks. I got everything ready last night and packed car.
I woke up early to get a good breakfast and prepare for the day. I checked the email, my heart sank. Tryouts cancelled due to rain. I didn't know what to do. It couldn't be true. Could they all be cancelled. I looked on the forum and they were cancelled. Now I don't know what do. My wife said either "get a life" or "get a shrink"

What do you think?
For next year? What age?
You have tons of time. ECB tryouts are a month away. Relax. A shrink won't help and a new wife is a pretty expensive proposition.
They will all scramble to re rent those fields whenever they can. It's up to each park to open fields and there was a LOT of rain this week. I bet they were a huge mess this morning.
The forecast for next weekend looks crappy too. I'm sure the places who have their own indoor facilities aren't worried a bit. Something to think about when choosing a team!
forget tryouts i have never been to one in my life..email the team and go work out in private if they like you they will take you if they dont drive to the next one
Actually, I'm not worried about the tryout. My wife was worried that my whole day was planned around baseball and when it wasn't going to happen she said I looked like someone had died. Sometimes we get too wrapped up in our kids lives and forget to smell the roses I guess.
