Kennesaw Generals 12U "Big Shanty Showdown II"
Dates: May 24-27, 2012
The tournament will be an 16 team maximum open tournament played on two fields at Adam’s Park. We would like to invite all teams interested, but prefer AAA/AA teams. The tournament will be a (3) game minimum, with (2) pool play games and a single elimination bracket tournament. The first (16) teams to register and pay will be entered in the tournament, so don’t be left out! Last year's tournament was a super event with lots of excellent baseball! Sign up early and be part of this great tournament!
Tournament entry fee: $325 plus a $125 team gate fee for a total of $450.
** A $25 discount will be given to any teams registering by April 15, 2012!
Location: Adams Park, Kennesaw, GA
Classification: Open, anticipating AAA/AA play
Format: 3 game minimum (2 pool play; single elimination bracket)
Rules: USSSA (with some modifications)
Each team responsible for two (2) game balls per game
Team and Individual trophies awarded to 1st and 2nd place - looking at option for two divisions (for example, Gold and Silver)
Great ball fields maintained between games, excellent concession stand, Wi-Fi, and covered seating.

Hello all:
We're getting closer to the Big Shanty Showdown II! We're looking forward to hosting the best tournament in the area that weekend, so sign up now!
We've got 16 slots and the following teams have tentatively committed:
Kennesaw Generals
Allatoona Buccaneers
Oregon Park Roadrunners
Also, if we get all 16 slots filled, I'm checking on if we can have a "Gold" bracket and "Silver" bracket for bracket play.

Hello all:
We're just about a month away from the Big Shanty Showdown II! We've got 16 slots and the following teams committed:
Depending on who registers, we will either have a AAA/Major bracket and A/AA bracket, or if it's relatively balanced, we'll have a "Gold" and "Silver" bracket (all dependent on getting the 16 slots filled)
Let me know soon - we'd love to have you be part of a great time out at the ballpark!

Hello all:
We're entering the week of the Big Shanty Showdown II! I'm looking for two more teams to help close out the registration. Currently I have the following teams:
Kennesaw Generals
Oregon Park Roadrunners
Oregon Park Arrows
Storm Baseball
East Cobb Warriors
Oregon Park Hurricanes (tentative - checking schedule)
I am also lowering the tournament fee - working on that number but it will be below the current fee!
Please help us out with our fundraiser and let me know ASAP - we'd love to have you be part of a great time out at the ballpark!
