Anyone know when Nations Baseball plans to post tournaments? We played in a few last year and thought it was kinda odd that their not out yet. |

They are posted ... But I found it impossible to get to from the links on the varied Nations Baseball websites. I e-mailed Ric Cosper a couple of months ago while I was researching tournament options for the spring and he sent me a web address. I was kind of disappointed that ALL of Nations Tournaments are hosted on the southeast side of Atlanta or in Chattanooga this year. This is the link Ric Sent me: http://www.superiorbaseballevents.com/Tournaments.html |

@ 3sondad....Unless I'm reading it incorrectly (which could be the case as my wife says I'm getting older, blinder, and deafer all the time), these tournaments are NOT on the southeast side of Atlanta. They are all in Winder,GA, which is NE of Atlanta. It is closer to Gainesville, Lake Lanier, north Fulton and Forsyth County. We live on the SE side of Atlanta and it takes us 50 minutes to get there. We've played there quite a bit over the past two years and have enjoyed their tournaments. Again, forgive me if I read it incorrectly. |

Sorry, that's right ... I actually had to drive over to Winder a couple of months ago. Monroe, Winder, etc. equals more than I want to drive on a weekend. They hosted a couple of tournaments at ATPP last year, which is a couple of miles away. I was hoping they would continue. It is amazing how much you can get done on the weekends you don't have to be in the car for 6 hours. |

You are exactly right...I wish I lived on your side during Travel Ball season, because I either end up spending all my weekend sitting behind the wheel/sitting at games or we have to get a hotel room because of really late/really early game times. Tournaments on the east side of Atlanta for my son's level and age are getting to be fewer and fewer, so my drives are longer. It's the price we pay for living out in the country east of town.
Oh well, the joys of travel ball! |
