Does anyone know the answer? Have a new kid to travel loves his 2 1/4 2011 bat that has a 1.15 stamp and that's it. Can he use it in 2012 travel? Found conflicting websites

Utrip, Triple Crown and Grand Slam all accept the 1.15 bpf as legal.
I would assume that all the other organizations will follow suit.

The important thing to remember is that the bulk of the 2012 rules surrounding the NEW USSSA bpf 1.15 stamp regard BIG BARREL BATS.

The USSSA standard is posted via this link: http://www.usssa.com/usssa/usssa-general/BaseballBatAnnouncement4-22-11.pdf

Now several organizations, Triple Crown, Grand Slam, etc., have adopted USSSA's stance.

With regard to Card6's specific question with his 2-1/4" 2011 bat with the 1.15 stamp, it IS LEGAL for 2012 & 2013, but will not be legal in 2014 as the new logo stamp will be required for small barrels in 2014. The paragraph below speaks specifically to that rule and is from the link posted above.

For 2012 and 2013, only those Small Barrel bats made by approved
USSSA licensed manufacturers that are either (1) Wood or (2) made with the old USSSA
mark or the New USSSA Mark will be allowed in USSSA play. This includes Tee Ball
bats that are longer than 23 inches. 23 inch and shorter Small Barrel Tee Ball bats from
approved USSSA licensed manufacturers will continue to be allowed in 2012 and 2013
without the old or New USSSA Mark.

For 2014, only those Small Barrel bats made by approved USSSA licensed
manufacturers that are either (1) Wood or (2) made with the New USSSA Mark will be
allowed in USSSA play. This includes all Tee Ball bats that are longer than 23 inches. 23
inch and shorter Small Barrel Tee Ball bats from approved USSSA licensed
manufacturers will continue to be allowed in 2014 without the New USSSA Mark.

Thanks guys... we have a happy boy. I think once he gets a month or so in the season he will switch to 2 5/8. But for now he hits the ball better with his bat.
