With the new billion-dollar complex being built in Bartow County, how will the sale of Perfect Game affect that complex? I thought that they were going to be the big tenant there, and now they are selling? Baseball is definitely not just a game anymore.
I have not heard anything about this, but, if its true, I would say that whoever buys PG will carry on with whatever plans are in the works. I would also say that I don't think that Jerry Ford would sell it to anyone who would not continue with the integrity and love for baseball that he has exhibited over the years.
I would look for a smooth transition - if the rumors are true.
This is someone trying to start some trouble. He even opened a facebook account (under another name) and it's only about this topic. He also posted something similar on the lakepoint facebook. I'm not sure what the purpose is.
Several times people have contacted us showing interest in acquiring Perfect Game. We have no interest in selling PG and there is no sale taking place. I guess it's always possible we could partner with someone at some point, but PG is nothing more than the people who run it. Without those people it's just another name that would have very little value.
I have no idea why this person is starting this other than an attempt to strain relationships in the complex project. I even noticed on that messageboard he has posted just three times, all regarding this. I expect this to continue.
