For the last several days we have had issues with emails being blocked by some service providers. (mainly att/bellsouth) It appears that we have had some above normal numbers of emails being sent through the forums. One sender has been identified. Please reply to this post and include a copy of any email or member/user name from an email that has come through the forums that has been promoting a product and/or service. I will not post your reply, so this will be anonymous. I do not think it has been a normal junk spammer, but someone taking advantage of the forums to advertise to the baseball community.
I do not want to turn off emailing because it is a good way for the forum members to communicate off-line in response to posts. We just need to police it ourselves and stop any abuse.
If you received an email through the forums from an instructor/facility in the metro area that was not in response to one of your posts it was spam. Not the typical spam that we fight every day, but abuse of the forums and fits the definition of spam. Now we have to work to get off the blacklists of some providers. They have been submitted to the spam databases.
Those that are having trouble getting registered, please email me directly after you have registered and I will manually activate your user name. Email directly to nwba@comcast.net.
