Hello all, my first post here but have been lurking soaking up the info for a while now. Great site!!

We just finished up our first year of 7/8 rec ball and are looking at joining an 8u travel team next year. I wanted to go ahead and get a big barrel bat to start working with during the off season but with all the rules and new bat regs I'm super confused!!

I know we may possibly wear the bat out in the off season and will have to buy a new one before the travel season fires up but I would like to stick with the same brand/model if possible.

I really like the Easton Omens 29/19 or 28/18 but will they be legal next year due to being composite? Also like the B1 but it's composite as well.

I guess I'm just curious if any composites will be legal for next year's season....?

I've been told by some coaches that no composite barrels will be legal next year, and then told by some that ONLY the Easton Omens would be legal.

Is there any consistency between leagues and bat legality? We're looking at a couple different teams right now and I'm not sure which leagues they play in.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

The average 8 or 9 year old uses a 29/19 these days.
