The 17U Grinders team has announced their 2022-2023 tryout schedule. The tryouts will take place on Saturday, July 23rd from 1pm to 3pm and Saturday, July 30th from 10am to noon at Whitefield Academy. The address for the tryouts is 1 Whitefield Drive, Smyrna, GA 30126.
Whitefield Academy is in Smyrna, GA near the South Cobb Drive exit on I-285.
The tryouts are for the 2022 Fall and the 2023 Spring/Summer seasons.
The Fall will consist of a high focus on player development with the late Spring and Summer focusing on competitive tournament play in Perfect Game tournaments.
The 17U Grinders coaching staff includes Brian Krehmeyer, head coach of the defending class A State champion Wesleyan School along with his assistant Brett Denney. Rounding out the coaching staff is Mike Shaheen, head coach at Whitefield Academy.
The 17U Grinders will utilize Whitefield Academy’s baseball facilities for all indoor and outdoor practices. In addition, all pool games in Perfect Game tournaments will be played at Whitefield Academy.
