Most of these teams are AA level, I think you guys should be very competitive. |

The Prowlers and Broncos played AA Lanier League and finished 1/2 in the regular season. The Fire Ants were built up basically from scratch sometime after Feb and I've heard they're not great. The vast majority of last year's 10u Sharon Springs Allstars are playing on 11u travel teams this year, so I wouldn't really expect them to be competitive with the travel teams in this. |

Both Georgia Outlaws teams are AAA, and are capable of beating Major teams, but don't go deep in the brackets I looked at, so must lack pitching depth.
Newnan: plays mostly USSSA. They have beaten GA Elite, Holly Springs Express, Chain Dirt Dawgs, Sharon Springs Spartans Black this year. Played Ga Academy Red, West GA Bandits and Lynn Haven Longhorns close!
Rome: don't play USSSA, but play some Triple Crown. They beat the GA Jackets Gold, Holly Springs Express, and Home Plate Lawson this year. You might find more on them by checking Southern Baseball's sight since they run tourneys nearest Rome.
If either Outlaw teams top pitchers are on the mound, they'll look more like a Major team than a AAA team, but if not, they will look low AAA.
I'll take Lightning and Rome Outlaws in finals.

The Outlaws are a better team than you might think. In the Memorial Day Invitational the had to play the Bandits twice. No team want to face them twice. They are listed as a major usssa team. This is the only team in the tournament that we have seen play. |

Jeff, thanks for the kind words. We were very suprised to see you leave early on. We thought that we both would make it to the championship and would have another great battle. You are right about the amount of talent that is in North Ga area and we think that we can compete with anyone. We are on a 10 game winning streak and have won the last two tournaments, so we are very proud of our boys. We have won just over 73% of all the games we played with 61 games under out belt but just like you we are looking at our roster for next year and will be making additions so that we can move up and compete in the major class. Good luck to the Outlaws we look forward to seeing you on the field. |

Being from the Chattanooga area, I can tell you that there is a lot of talent around here. After watching a lot of baseball this year and seeing local team from this area like (Bandits, Chattanooga Chiefs, North Ga Lightning, Chattanooga Colonels, Choo Choo Mustangs, Mean Green, Chattanooga Clippers and North Ga Cougars) I can tell you that it appears that the Lightning are starting to pull ahead of all of these teams with the exception of the Bandits. The Lightning look more like a major team than a AAA team at this point. If they get there hands on one more pitcher and a big stick watch out. They seem to be putting together a very competitve team. Just my opinion. |

N Ga Lightning is a very good team. I would like to see the Cougars and lightning play. I have also heard girls are on the lightning(Go girls). The lightning can really play the game of baseball. |

Being from the Chatt. area too, I can tell you that Dizzy Dean still has a big hold on kids and parks in this area. You are right ballboy, there is a lot of talent around here in the local parks and when more and more kids start leaving and head to select ball, there will be some very competitive teams in the Chatt. area. ss7, thanks for the kind words, and yes we do have one girl that plays a fair amount of ball with us. She plays when she is available. As a matter of fact she played this past weekend in the Triple Crown and played very well. She is a solid player that can hit and play multiple positions including pitcher. Ask BTK for the Outlaws, he has seen her play and can tell you about her. |

I have seen her play from her Mount Paran days she can play. Fourseam was the kid that hit his head on the fly ball in right end up being Ok. Kinda looked like he hit his head when he fell backwards was that the case? You guys have a fine team and displayed good sportmanship also all weekend. Congrats on the win. |

Thanks BREAMKING, our right fielder is fine, he actually twisted his back when he fell as well as hit his head. He ended up being fine after sitting out for a while. Thanks again for the compliments. |

My son used to play on the powder springs indians. I remember her from her MT. PARAN days also. They were all good ballplayers.(The indians and mt paran had some good brawls) |

I agree the lightning needs some deeper pitching but they do have a couple of big hitters that can go yard at anytime. They have one who has hit 4 homers in the past 2 tournament on being a granslam for about 300 ft at the triple crown this past weekend.
