Congrats to the East Cobb Colts for winning Brian McCann's first youth event. Brian even hit a homer for the boys at the Royals game we all went to and the boys got to parade around the field before the game. Every team made an appearance on the Jumbo Tron.
I think the Colts had to play 4 or 5 games Sunday in the heat. They beat a very tough Collins Hill Green team along the way, and bested the Hebron Angels in the finals. Not sure of the score, but I heard 11-4. Most dramatic moment for the Colts was a come from behind walk off 2 run homer in their 2nd or 3rd bracket game.
I though the Colts were a classy group, and their players were a very determined, well balanced, and strong in every aspect of the game. Their presence added a lot to the event. Well coached and polished.
I hope the McCann event wont coincide with the Major States next year so more of the Cobb teams can participate.
