ANNOUNCING
Tryouts will be held on August 7th and 8th for the 15U DSB Diablos that will practice and play out of Dunwoody Park. The Diablos will be filling select roster positions that will be announced prior to the tryout date. The Diablos will play at the most competitive possible level.
Information about the coaches for this team will be added to this post at a later date.
Tryouts will be at Dunwoody Park at 5321 Roberts Drive, Dunwoody, GA 30338. They will be held on August 7th from 1:00 to 3:00 and 8th from 3:30 to 5:30. Players are expected to attend both sessions. The tryouts will be rigorous workouts, so please come equipped with proper attire and drinks.
The teams will be formed immediately and a fall schedule will commence within weeks. The weekly schedule will work around the football player's schedule and will include practices during the week and some competition on weekends in the fall. There will be winter workouts in January and early February prior to the school season. The teams will be off from mid February until late April to allow players to participate in their school's baseball season. As soon as possible, the teams will resume practices and will then begin a competitive schedule of tournaments that lasts into July and will include at least one major out-of-town showcase event.

There is no fee required for this tryout.
The Diablos will play all the best local tournaments, including the 15U Perfect Game next summer. There will be one out of state tournament at a quality showcase tournament which is still TBD.
DSB is a non-profit organization. We will present a fee schedule that is designed to cover our costs for coaches, fields, tournament entry fees, insurance, etc.
The Diablos will use the fields at Dunwoody Park and at Dunwoody HS for practices. |

I am awaiting the post to see what positions they are looking to fill. Last year about 30+ kids tried out and they only took about 3 on the Diablos as most of the prior year players returned. I think some of the players who tried out formed another team....the Dodgers? Just my opinion-I would expect this to be the case again as evidenced by Peter Yost's statement "The Diablos will be filling select roster positions that will be announced prior to the tryout date." I dont believe dads were involved last year.

We don't use dad coaches at DSB. All of our coaches are paid and have significant playing and coaching experience.
There will be plenty of positions to fill in the 15U team. Although the 14U Diabos did very well this year (just finished 2nd in the GS WS in Panama City Beach this week!) many of the players will be leaving to play for their school teams. We will have few if any locked positions. |

This will be an open tryout. The 15U Diablos will be looking at every spot on the field to improve over last year's run.
The coaches for the team will be: - Brian Hoffman, DHS Asst. Varsity Coach
- Eric Love Former DHS player, played college ball at Albany State and experienced travel ball coach
- Cuyler Baldwin, 4 year starter at DHS, including the 2007 state champions
