Seems several Georgia teams are playing this weekend in the AAU Nationals at Disney. Schedules are out for those that havent seen them located here.

http://www.aauresults.org/baseball/pdf/2010/20101277129860.pdf

There are 27 teams in the 11u age bracket and it looks to be a good field of teams from Georgia. You have

Holly Springs Express

6-4-3

East Cobb Titans

Acworth Warriors who get to play MBA first game,

Venom Baseball

If anyone in the 11u age bracket we know is playing stop by and say hello. We are guest playing with G-Mans old 10u team Sudden Impact. Its going to be nice seeing some of our old friends from Florida and some of our new friends from Georgia.

The 12u age bracket is STACKED with 6 of the top ten 12u teams in the country. Anyone else on the board thats playing in this tournament or anyone else have any thoughts on this tournament.

Good luck to all of you Georgia teams heading down to Disney for the AAU Nationals. Hope we all have some good weather, lots of fun and do our best to support each other while down there. Good luck 643 Jags, Holly Springs, Venom Baseball, Acworth and Storm from the ECB Titans...Go get 'em!

NOLA TSUNAMI-all black team out of New Orleans, about like Sandtown with super fast players and athletes
St. Lucie Mets-very comparable to Georgia Bandits with 6 great pitchers that hit 70mph
Oseceola Cheifs-Slow but huge team and they all can hit it 275 to 300 feet, all lefty pitchers,
Okay BBall123 I am pulling your leg, never heard of any of these teams
but I seriously think Tsunami is the best of these teams.

123; Wish I could tell you something but I have no info on these teams. I know most teams (major) in the southeast so either these teams are not major or they never play USSSA.

Hope to see you there, I would like to see a couple of the Ga. boys play so we may cross paths this next week at Disney!!!

If you cant find anything on a team, I've found it means one of two things...they are a Rec all-star team, or they are a new team made up from a combination of 2 or more teams to play this 1 National event. The ladder type can be Elite level, so watch out.

NOLA Tsunami is ranked #2 Majors by USSSA in Louisiana. However, they have never played nationally ranked teams. I would venture to say that they are average to slightly above average. The St Lucie Mets and Osceola Chiefs are travel teams who rarely travel and do not usually participate in big tournaments. Many teams of that nature use Cooperstown and AAU Nationals at Disney as vacation. I don't know how competitive your team is, but probably the only team that may give you some competition is Tsunami.

Thanks guys, Well we are gonna throw what we have at em and see how it turns out

I ,, and Venom Baseball are very excited about this trip. My son and I have been reflecting on the season as we pack for Orlando. Man its been a great one! Allot of exciting moments and memories, He said his mos memorable one was his 4 HR day in the TC State , I said mine was the win against 643 cougs that night( sorry Danny :-) ). But then I had to agree with him.
We talked about allot of things that happened this season and laughed about some others.

That little moment right there is what its all about,at least thats why I do it. Thanks to every one for being apart of our memories.

OK ,,,,, GROUP HUG !!!

bball123 your right you play for the memories. I remember one of my brothers winning state high school championship and that memory will last a life time for the whole family. Oh yeah and just so my little brother does not feel bad his teams runner up finish was priceless also. Things like this is why people play the game it is the memories whatever they maybe not the wins and loses. You mentioned your win over 643 cougs if that was your world series this year that is a memory that will stick with you guys a long long time.

WHEW !! Man Its Hot ! Just got back from the park , We played well today, I did not see any other Ga. teams today.
We played very well this morning at 8am but lost to a great St. Lucci Mets(Fla.) team 8-7
Then at 10am we played a very good NOLA Tsunami team from New Orleans and won 6-1
Then at 2 0clock we played the O'ceola (Fla) Cheifs and won 16-0 in 4 innings.
So we are 2-1 in the first set of pool play games and should move on to the top bracket and the second set of pool play games tommorow.
Ga teams are looking very strong down here :-)

Looks like the Tropical weather is adversely impacting the tourney in the Panhandle.

All bracket play games were canceled this evening after making teams wait around the park for about 5 hours after it started raining. I bet after the coaches meeting tonight some teams are going to be mad tomorrow. I think Disney just wanted to keep people around. This evening to spend some money before calling the games off tonight.

update...
another rain out for the semi's! 4 left, Titans vs. MBA the big match up. Titans have now seen them twice.

Guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow to see who's best.

MBA beat Team Anderson 11-0 in four innings to win the AAU National Championship. MBA player hit a ball 275 feet off the fence in the air to drive in two runs to win the game. The fence was not a temp plastic fence but a tall permanent fence.

I would like to congratulate the East Cobb Titans on a hard fought tournament and making it to the semi final game. This team battled the entire tournament and deserve the recognition. Great job Coach Chris.

My son pitched the semi final game against the Titans and I can say that if not for some great defensive plays the 11 to 1 score would have looked a little different. MBA Pride is by far one of the top 11u teams in the NATION!!!!

Bandits not to take anything away from you guys because your team is also one of the top teams in the NATION!!!

JB - thanks..the boys deserve all the credit, they worked hard and played hard all week. MBA is one awfully good team and though our score was certainly lopsided, it was fun still to play them. It was great to see you there and I wish you guys best of luck at the Elite 32.
