The Lightning did not make the championship game because we were beat out by the Cougars in the semis. We did out score our opponents this weekend 72-21 and beat the runner up Mustangs 14-0 in pool play. We just got the wrong side of the bracket and faced the Cougars. It was a great game that went down to the end. But they beat is 12-9. Congratulations to the Cougars.
If I remember correctly Fourseam, Didnt the Mustangs put it to you guys in the last match-up? Just goes to show that any team can have a bad day. Remember they are still boys. From what I saw, I thought the ump's did a good job, Although one ump did have a major league strike zone.
I never said said the Mustangs were a bad team, as a matter of fact I think you guys are a very good team that is underated. What I am saying was that we were playing great ball all weekend dispite having three of our four top players not there. We always have our hands full when we play the Mustangs.
