Should teams volunteering their fields be albe to play their games at their field. Is this an advantage for them. If ecb uses Adcock field should teams playing out of that park be able to play there? Should GA Jackets get to play at their field? Should teams out of ATPP be able to play at their field. Given there are enough fields around. Is it an advantage for ECB teams to play at ECB? From an economic stand point if I owned a field I would not charge my parents a gate fee. But if two teams not from my field played I could make more money. I have no problem playing ECB teams at ECB knowing going in they are hosting the tournament. Some of these tournaments never tell you where the extra fields or parks are until a few days before the tournament. I would be mad if I drove from Kentucky and didn't get to play at ECB. |

I don't think it provides that much of an advantage, but living close to the venue can be a leg up if you catch an early or late game time.
I too hope the out of State teams get to play East Cobb and ATPP both. I have not looked yet to see if ATPP hosts 11's or if the fields are too small for 11's. These are 2 totally awesome venues to walk into and play at, especially the first few times. Funny how neither looks very special from the outside, but once inside the gates, you just think WOW, how cool is this. |

I am sure that the Kentucky team will get to see East Cobb although I would bet very briefly before they leave. I would think that before it is over that all of the teams will get at least 1 or 2 games at the East Cobb Complex. |

The Holly Springs field is very nice, as is the Jackets field, dont know about Barnett Field. Is that the one with the mile walk to the back for 10 and under? I too think Tournaments should cater a little bit to the out of state teams and let them play at East Cobb. As far as home field advantage I don't see any home field advantage. |

I think that East Cobb is one of the premier tournament venues in the nation and I agree that we should allow the out of state teams play there as much as possible. It gives a great reflection of the passion and pride that we have in Georgia concerning our baseball. I can imagine that they go home and have nothing but praises for the facility and that reflects good on all of us Georgia boys. |

come to lagrange and play a Grandslam tournament one of the best facilities and run tournaments around I have seen some of you in the Grand slam world series. Just as well run tournaments one hour south of atlanta you will be very pleased. the hour and half drive to east cobb area is the difference between home field advantage or not. |

Smitty, I agree with you on this one. Grand Slam does a great job and the complex in LaGrange is awesome. We haven't played there since my son was in 9u but he still talks about it. |

Since ATPP does not have teams representing the park, EVERY team that plays with us is our guest. We made the decision not to have teams when we built the park because of this home field/umpire perception issue. Thanks for the nice comments and we will do our best to keep it one of the finest facilities around. We will also try to make it a little more curb appealing as well. |

I thought ATTP was the home field of the Venom. Did something change? |

The Venom practices out of ATPP. The only payments they pay are for field use. The 10U 643 practiced out of ATPP a lot last year. Any team can use their fields. |
