The 14U East Cobb Braves have 2 openings for 2010.

Priority slots are open for outfield, short stop, pitcher. Good foot speed is a plus.

The coaching staff is top notch, with:
Kyle Hatchell - former ECB Astro, college coach, scout, Cangelosi instructor
George Vukovich - World Series winner (Phillies), veteran instructor
Will Melson - veteran ECB coach

The Braves are a majors level team looking for hard working players.

For more information, contact coach Will at will@eastcobbbraves.com or visit our team website at

Last year on this team the coaching staff was all Dads and George Vukovich was listed on the website as an associate coach. Are Vukovich and Hatchell actually going to be leading the team fulltime this year or are they being used more for instruction as in the past?

Granny, Im one of the DAD coaches on the Braves. Ill let Will answer your question but I can Tell you the Braves were lucky to get Kyle. He is the real deal. Im very picky about coaches. I can usually find something I dont agree with, I spent the entire fall coaching with Kyle. I dont have a bad thing to say. Kyle is a very very good coach. His style, his knowledge, his discipline are all outstanding. I wont speak out of turn about him and Vuk but I can tell you the Braves are very fortunate to have Kyle. Im not sure about Vuk, but he was there for most of the fall. He knows his stuff too. Coach Tom

I was never questioning the ability of any of the coaches only asking if it was the same format I saw last year when the Braves played. Which was that the Dads were the coaches on the field not the paid coaches. I am simply asking are the paid professional coaches going to be more apart of the team this year or are they just used for instruction as they were last year??

We are also looking for a catcher. One of our catchers hurt his arm severely at school and is out of the season.
