As a father of 4 sons I have spent way more money on bats than I care to think about. That being said, right now is a good time to purchase a bat. The 2011 bats are on the way and retailers are going to want to clear out their inventory of older bats - especially their 2009 models.
Louisville did not make any changes to their bats, other than color, from 2009 to 2010. So if you are looking at an EXO or a Triton, consider an '09.
Easton also made very few changes (other than color and some name changes). They came out with a new stiff handle options for their two-piece Stealths and lowered what they call their "MOI" for the same two-piece bats. If you are considering a Stealth, Synergy, SV12, or V12 consider an '09.
