Please join us for our 2nd Annual Sandy Plains USTBA February Frost

9U-12U $325

13-14U $350

$100 Gate fee, paid in advance so no hassles at the front of the park each day.

Baseballs provided, 1st and 2nd place trophies in multiple divisions (Split after 2 games, so play against all levels and then split out to your competition level or if you are on a roll play higher)

For more information contact travelteams@sandyplainsbaseball.com

www.sandyplainswildcats.com

See you at the Frost, last year we had 54 Teams come out and start their season at beautiful Harrison Park in Marietta (next to Lassiter HS). Fields drug after every game, new lines, bases painted, concession stand with LOTS of hot chocolate

Here is a new link, and yes it is $425 for 9-12U and $450 for 13-14's. This includes gate fee, baseballs, and we give really nice trophies for numerous age groups in numerous divisions. Last year we had 54 teams, and had 13 champions, and 2nd place in each of those divisions as well. I hope everyone can make it as last year was awesome!

If you are interested in registering please do 2 things.... go to www.sandyplainswildcats.com click on Sandy Plains Tournaments. The registration form is there for the Frost and for our other 2 tournaments this year. Then if you do not have a USTBA Membership for 2010 go to www.ustbageorgia.com and get a membership which is good for all USTBA tournaments this upcoming year.

Since so many of you always say nice to see no gate fee on other tournaments, please compare their total to our total $'s..... $425 for 9-12U and $450 for 13-14U that is $25 to $125 cheaper than other tournaments in the area.... So don't be fooled by the old no gate fee clause, they build it in. At our facility we don't hassle for gate fees... BTW those prices are the same for the past 3 years of our running tournaments, no increases no inflation in this economy.... Come on out to the Feb Frost 19-21 and/or Stars and Stripes May 28-30

One of the best run events of 2009 - if you had a question it was either answered, or someone worked on the answer and did get back to you with an answer. They did an awesome job and I would strongly recommend this event to everyone.

We are currently contacting the 10U teams to ensure they are still in as each had previously indicated they were going to play. Thanks for the heads up.

Same question for the 9U. Eteamz shows two teams but the list above only shows one.

I think most teams are waiting to see what the weather looks like before they decide to play that weekend.

This tournament completely sold out last year and we didn't have nearly this many teams signed up at this point. Teams that are waiting for the weather forecast will likely be looking in from the outside. This is a very good field right now for 11u, 12u & 13u. I expect the others will fill up too.

Thanks JCB for the nice comments. Our TD is the best volunteer director in the state in my opinion.

We only list teams who have contacted someone on the tournament staff. We are checking on the 10U teams one more time, but we did call each of them 1/27 to ensure they were intending to come. If you know of someone in the 10's that are not coming please email me at the tournament address. I don't play the game of listing teams to attract other teams. I only list teams that contact us. Thnx Charlie Dino

We only have 2 slots left for 11, 12, 13U So get in now, everything will be shut down as of 2/14. If your payment is not received by that date you will not be listed in the schedules.

Charlie and Staff,

I am as excited as the teams playing this weekend in the 2nd Annual February Frost Season Opener at Harrison Park. I can't wait to see the teams on the diamond once again.

You and your staff always do an excellent job and it's always a pleasure working with you and your staff to put on a fantastic event for the young athletes, coaches and their familes.

I'd also like to thank the Sandy Plains Baseball Association, Cobb County Parks & Recreation and all the board members for their cooperation and support.

I'll see everyone at the park!!!

I am looking for pool schedules on the tournament website but can't find them. Am I missing something or does USTBA just not post this? I couldn't find the "who's coming" list without looking at this post either.

I wish all of the tournament directors would do a good job of posting this stuff.

One of the unfortunate by-products of the issues with USTBA (well documented in other posts) is that their website was effectively stolen. This is just now getting resolved in the legal system so Paul is working hard to get this back up and going.

In the meantime, the SP tournament director is using his website to post the brackets, results, etc. There are links in Navigation Bar at that top of his website, www.sandyplainswildcats.com for each age group.

We will work hard to keep this updated as quickly as possible. Thanks to everyone for understanding.

Schedules are posted on the tournament host website @ http://www.hometeamsonline.com/teams/?u=SANDYPLAINSWILDCATS&t=c&s=baseball&p=home

In the header menu, click on your teams age division of the February Frost for schedules.

Results will be posted on the Georgia USTBA website under Tournament Results.

It's going to be a Great Weekend for the February Frost Season Opener! Let's Play Ball!!!

Coach Mark,

Where are the brackets for the younger age groups? I didn't see them listed on your website.

CoachMark,
Thanks for the pointer to SPBA Wildcats site for pool play info. Unfortunately, no information there for the 9U or 10U teams. Can this be added?
