The 2nd annual North Forsyth Baseball Classic will be returning to Coal Mountain Park in Cumming, GA June 2-4, 2017. Set with the backdrop of the North Georgia mountains, Coal Mountain Park is one of the most popular baseball facilities in the Cumming area.
We hosted a great tournament last year and had a blast with teams from all over North GA in town and participating in our tournament. We will have great concessions, park amenities such as walking trails, kids playground, & picnic areas. We will also have some great vendors to partake in and plenty of great Georgia weather to enjoy.
The NF Baseball Classic will once again have two divisions available to register for:
1. An All-Star division for all sanctioned all-star teams in Dizzy Dean, USSSA, Dixie Youth, Pony Baseball, and non-sanctioned recreation league all-star teams. We will welcome A, B, and C level all-star teams. This year our format has changed. This year we will separate our brackets for A level teams and then B/C level teams. No A level teams will play against B/C level teams and vice versa. This way we keep it competitive for all teams and make it more fun. We will have gold and silver brackets for each all-star age group. If 12 or more teams register for any age group, we will add a bronze bracket as well.
2. A division for travel baseball teams and any pick-up teams. This division will be for AA and A level teams ONLY. Since this is the same weekend of the Triple Crown D1 State tournament, we will NOT be taking any AAA or Major level teams. All travel division age groups will have a gold and silver bracket.
Date: June 2-4, 2017
Location: Coal Mountain Park, Cumming, GA
All-star age groups - 7U, 8UCP, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U
Travel age groups - 9U, 10U, 11U
Format: 3 game guarantee - 2 pool play games, followed by single elimination bracket play.
Pricing: $300 for all-star teams; $375 for travel teams. A daily gate fee of $5 for adults and $2 for children (ages 5-17) and seniors 55+, children 4 and under are free entry. All players, head coach + 3 assistants are free entry. 2 team coolers will be allowed for the team and coaches only.
1st and 2nd place finishers in each age group and bracket will receive trophies.
Registration will be setup and begin in January 2017. The deadline to register will be May 29, 2017, as schedules and rules will be posted no later than May 31st. Travel teams that can play early on Friday (before 6PM) please let the tournament director know. Teams that cannot play on Friday nights or early Saturday need to ensure they notify tournament director via email or on the registration form.
