Sawnee Mtn Thunder 14u will be holding individual tryouts to fill our last open spot. All tryouts will be held at Sawnee Mtn Park, 3890 Watson Rd.,Cumming, Ga. We are not an academy after your money but a well established, family run team. We are all about the baseball and our players. Tryouts are free, team dues are reasonable and we play a lot of baseball. We are entering year 5 with a great group of returning players and families looking for one player to help us continue our growth at the AAA level. Playing time available at all positions.
In the 2016-2017 season, we will play 5 tourneys through the fall and 11-12 tourneys in the spring. Also with this will be 12-16 games/scrimmages and an end of year out-of-state tourney.
Head Coach John Arundale has over 13 years of baseball coaching experience, 8 at the travel ball level and is entering his 6th year on staff at Forsyth Central High School. We understand what players need to do to prepare for the high school level. Practices are well organized and game schedules are planned well in advance. High expectations are set for everyone involved. Communication between players, coaches and parents is very important.
