I don't think anyone is trying to sell Team Ga short..But when someone starts tooting their own bell then people start to take notice of what they are/are not doing on the ball field..When the season starts if they are as good as the say they are they won't have to say a word!!!!!!!!!!!
I watched one of the games at the Hog Mountain tournament with Team Georgia with bmoser and saw pretty much the same as what he saw. There were mistakes in the infield and base running, but this is fall baseball. I've seen my sons team look fantastic with near perfect defense at times and be very bad at other times. The most impressive thing about Team Georgia to me was the size and build of most of the players and their hitting. Most looked like tall thin 12U players and they all seemed to have speed and could hit it over the fence. They also seemed to have good pitching. They will beat a lot of teams with their offense and pitching, but may have to pick up the defense a few notches to win tight games against other top tier major class 11U teams.
I had a chance to see Team Georgia up close this past weekend at a tournament in Monroe. Guys, this team is a powerhouse in it's infancy. They are big, fast and athletic. Should be fun to see how they fare next weekend at the TC tournament.
