11U Sluggers Baseball is looking to add 3 players to our 2015-2016 roster and we are hosting an open tryout on July 12, 2015 at Rhyne Park in Smyrna from 2pm to 5pm. We are a hand selected team playing out of Smyrna with players from Buckhead, Smyrna, Vinings, Mableton and Powder Springs. We have a great group of talented and developing tournament players that had a very successful first season and we expect to play at the high AA/AAA level for the 2015-16 season. We also have a great group of families and boys that love playing together.
We are very focused on improving each boys’ baseball fundamentals, situational awareness and strength, speed and stamina and will work with both a paid professional coach and strength and conditioning coach during the season. We also think that kids this age develop by playing multiple sports and we are very supportive of our kids playing other fall and winter sports. As a result, our fall season will consist of only one weekly practice and 2-3 tournaments. We will then kick off the spring season in February, ultimately playing in 10-12 tournaments.
For the 2016 season we are excited to add several additional players that have either played high level travel baseball or have been recognized as elite players in their leagues. If your son has travel ball experience or you think he is ready for travel ball, we would like to invite him to tryout on Sunday, July 12 at Rhyne Park from 2pm to 5pm. Rhyne Park is located at 4145 King Springs Road SE, Smyrna, Georgia 30080. The tryout, which will be free, will consist of various fielding, hitting and running drills as well as game situations. If you have interest, please email or call to let us know you will be coming. Additionally, we are happy to set up a private workout for your child at another time that works for you if you can’t make it on the 12th.

The FREE tryouts for the 11u Sluggers are coming up this Sunday, June 12 at Rhyne Park in Smyrna starting at 2pm. For those attending, veer to the right when you pull into the park and head down the hill to the baseball fields. The workout will be led by Jonathan Clark, an excellent baseball instructor and former minor league player in the Mets organization, who will be working with our team during the 2015-2016 season.
