The 13u SPBA Wildcats will conduct tryouts on JULY 12th at 12:30.
Tryouts will be handled by Coach Rey Martinez ON FIELD 6--lower harrison park--next to Lassiter High School
VISION--Coach Rey Martinez - 14 year Professional Baseball Player with the Cleveland Indians, California Angels, Cincinnati Reds, and New York Mets organizations. 4 Major League Camps. 8 Year winter league player for Felipe Alou. Instructor at Winter camps, and prospect development for the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Dominican Republic. Rey will be a full time paid coach, attending all games and instructing all practices for the 2014/15 13U SPBA Wildcats. "My goal," said Coach Rey, "Is to create an elite team staring at age 13 who will stay together for a many years under the same coaching/instruction and management."
Todd Heron remains as GM for the Wildcats.
Our fees are greatly reduced, based on other travel teams in the East Cobb area. Fees for the 12u Wildcats were under $1000.00 per player for the entire season, which included professional instruction, 10 touneys, and a trip to Cooperstown Dreams Park. Our ability at SPBA to run tourneys over the course of the year and attract Corporate Sponsors like Resurgens Orthopaedics allows us to offset many costs associated with travel baseball.
