Congratulations to the 10U East Cobb Astros for a final 8 finish out of 97 teams from 25 states @ Cooperstown Dreams Park this past week. The Astros finished the tournament with a 7-3 record (4-2 after pool play #27 seed). There two pool play losses were to the overall #1 seed Virginia Wolfpack (5-0) and #4 overall seed San Diego Stars North (8-0). They lost in the quarterfinal to Las Vegas Baseball Lightning in the bottom of the tenth inning 1-0. The Lightning were the overall #3 seed after pool play. So the Astros lost to 3 of the 7 other final 8. Congratulations again to the Astros capping of a strong 2008 season!!!!!!
