The Norcross 10U team will be conducting a tryout for the Spring '14 team on August 3rd and August 10th at field #4 at Pinckneyville Park in Norcross. The evaluations will be from 2:00-4:00 each day. You only need to attend one of the sessions. The address for the park is 4758 S. Old Peachtree Road, Norcross, GA 30071.
This team participates in the Gwinnett Baseball League (GGBL) and will play about 30-35 games including tournaments (all local and possibly one out of town to be discussed with the parents). The team will practice throughout the Fall and Winter (indoor facilities at Norcross High School) and play in a couple of local tournaments during the Fall. The budget to participate is estimated around $900.
The team is coached by Mike Fleming who believes strongly in focusing on and reinforcing the fundamentals, teaching the kids about baseball strategy, putting the team first, and good sportsmanship. The 9U team that Mike coached last year was a finalist in the GGBL tournament.
