WELL PAID COACHING POSITION as well as lesson opportunities
MyScoutDay Baseball is seeking Head Baseball coaching positions for the Fall/Spring/Summer 2013-2014. The MyScoutday baseball program has been established to teach and develop baseball players through practice and game settings that constitute commitment and dedication to further athletes baseball careers.
The ages of this program currently range: 11u-16u
The qualified candidates is responsible for managing all aspects of the MyScoutDay baseball team, as well as assigned administrative duties. The responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:
Coaching/Teaching
Coach in a manner that is consistent with the developmental mission of the MyScoutday Baseball development of baseball players as individuals & group settings. Maintaining facilities, holding practice,, staff management, game-day management, monitoring student-athletes progress on and off the field, and working with MyScoutDay constituents. Engaging in ethical and values-based coaching in order to develop the character and the skill of the amateur student athletes. Possession of a thorough knowledge of the sport of baseball, a sophisticated understanding of coaching strategies, and a demonstrated ability to enhance player development. Recruiting, to include the ability to identify and successfully recruit student athletes within the framework of the MSD guidelines and policies. Adherence to all MyScoutDay, USSSA, TBS, Triple Crown, Perfect Game and any other organizations we play or work with rules and regulations. Working effectively with administrators, the support staff, and other coaches and programs within the MSD Athletics program. (2) nights a week practices and fall/spring/summer tournaments or games Depending on the age around 16-20 hours of practice a month and games on top of that
Experience Required: Desire to develop amateur baseball players to reach goals on/off the field of play Committed to program based philosophy and input of personal experiences A minimum of 2 years of intercollegiate playing/coaching experience or playing at the professional level Demonstrated knowledge of baseball rules and adherence to regulatory expectations; a proven commitment to high ethical standards and academics Excellent organizational and administrative skills Superior knowledge of the techniques and strategies of the sport Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment Superior communication and public relations skills.
