We had a great tryout for the 8U Scorpion Baseball Academy travel team. There are still a few roster spots available and based on the responses; we will be holding another evaluation session.
If you are interested please contact Steve Pollard with Scorpions Baseball Academy at spollard51@yahoo.com or 949-307-4630. You may also contact Andy Summers at 678-206-6951 for more information on the 8U Scorpions team and information on what the Scorpions Baseball Academy has to offer for prospective players.

When: Thursday August 2, 2012 from 5:00pm-7:00pm
Where: Adcock Field (Scorpions Baseball Academy)
2547 Holly Springs Pkwy.
Canton, Ga 30115

There have also been some questions about the facility and the professional instruction that will be taking place throughout the season.

Scorpions Baseball Academy is a fully functional baseball facility located just off of exit 14 on I-575. Adcock field is a fantastic facility that plays host to many triple-crown tournaments and is fully equipped with concessions, stands, and lights. The facility is also home to the batting depot which has four indoor batting cages that are equipped for pitching/hitting with pitching machines available for use as well. Both of these phenomenal facilities will be used by the the Scorpions through the duration of the 2012/2013 season.

The professional instructors at Scorpions baseball include:
Steve Pollard is a former pitcher for the New York Yankees baseball organization
Willie Burgess comes to us from the East Cobb Baseball organization and has coached many players to NCAA Division 1 scholarships and others to minor league contracts
Come out and see the difference and what professional instruction with focus on player development really looks like

Please let Andy Summers andy.summers@bestbuy.com or Steve Pollard spollard51@yahoo.com know if you will be attending the tryout, so that the tryout can be adequately staffed. Thank you for your interest in viewing this post and we look forward to meeting you in person at the tryout on Thursday, August 2 from 5-7pm at Adcock field.
