New Shaw Park 8U Travel Team Now Forming for the 2012-2013 Season !!
Our focus will be on player development, teaching fundamentals of fielding, batting, base running and pitching. We have a core group of solid players from the surrounding area, but we are looking for 5-6 more kids to complete our team. Our coaching staff has several years of experience at the all-star and travel ball level, so we will be one of the strongest fundamental teams in the area.
We plan to have a few practices and tournaments in the fall, then move into a more aggressive spring by having 2-3 weekly practices and play in 7-8 tournaments in the area.
We will start with coach pitch tournaments and transition into kid pitch tournaments as the kids progress with their pitching ability.

Our first tryout will be Saturday, July 28th from 1:30 - 3:30pm at Shaw Park (Pinto Field) -
Field Address - 845 Shaw Park Rd. Marietta, GA 30066.
There is no cost to attend.
We plan to have 1-2 more open try-outs for those who miss this try-out date. If you have an interest in trying out, but cannot make this date, please give us a call. |

As a reminder, if you plan to attend the New Shaw Park 8U try-out on July 28th, please forward the following information to Chip Dougherty so we can register you for the event:
* Child's Name
* Parents Name & contact phone number & e-mail address
* Baseball Park child is from
* Number of seasons playing baseball
* What position(s) do you play?

For those of you who cannot make the July 28th date (we received several calls that people were still finishing up their season), out next try-out / clinic will be August 5th from 3-5pm at the Shaw Park Pinto field.

Thanks to all the great families and players that attended the Saturday try-out and made it a great success.
We will be holding our second and final try-out this Sunday, August 5th from 3:00 - 5:00pm at Shaw Park - Pinto Field.
If you have an interest in playing, please make sure you attend this date. If you need to schedule a private and confidential try-out, please contact coach Chip at eliteworldtravelers@gmail.com or call (404) 312-4017 to schedule a date and time.
As a reminder, we will be playing a light fall season, then moving into a winter workout session followed by a heavy spring season. The focus will be on getting the kids ready to move into kid pitch as fast as possible as well as making sure they are fundamentally sound. We plan to do several fundraisers including hosting tournaments to keep the costs low, so we will be affordable for everyone.
Our goal is to find 12 players with 12 families that want to see their child grow as a player and build a great family friendly environment. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday.

Just a reminder, our last summer try-out is scheduled from 3-5pm this Sunday (8/5) at Shaw Park - Pinto Field.
This is a team made up of players from all over the area, but we will practice out of Shaw Park based on it's neutral location.
We will be competitive with every team in this age group in the area, but at half the cost. We will have a very light fall so we will not interfere with fall sports, then start winter workouts before a busy spring season. All coaches involved on this team have a winning tradition, so be prepared for a great season.
If you are looking for a competitive team that will teach your child baseball fundamentals, discipline and team work at an extremely low cost, this is the team for you. With hosting a few tournaments, a few corporate sponsors and a few fundraisers, 2012-2013 should be affordable for everyone.

Because we had several kids miss the last try-out, we are hosting a mini workout this Friday (8/10) at Shaw Park - Pinto Field for anyone still looking to join our comepetitve 8U travel team.
