I was told last week that they would be posted today...which probably means tonight would be the best case scenario. The website says Monday or Tuesday, so I'm betting the kid's college fund on Tuesday. :-) |

Well I will go out on a limb and choose the following:
1. Renegades - "apparently" rested up over this past weekend with a few kids playing to keep in shape from what I hear. 2. Sig Park - I know for a fact that "mama" will be proud after the showing this team is poised to put on this weekend. Rested up and this is the weekend they get it done. 3. SF Giants - "bandwagon" is loaded and headed to Bama baby! If there were a gameday set in Alabama, Corso picks this group as the upset of the weekend. 4. Buzz Baseball - crickets in the background as I thought of this one. Seen 11 and 12 year old teams not as big as these kids, but just not sure about this team. Has anyone really seen what they can do this year? If so...let me know if this is a good pick.
Honorable mention...Da Braves...Don't be surprised if they roll. Still don't see any competition for the GA teams in this one either. Looks like another NIT Title coming back home.
Wish we were making the trip boys, but got other things to do this weekend. Good luck. |

Buzz has played the past 2 weekends vs 11U AA/AAA teams and has gone 6-1. Mothers Day weekend was a Fri/Sat full games no shootouts |

Guys,
We all know that predictions aren't predictions on this forum unless my man, Mr. "No Skin in the Game"...none other than Steel-Will is giving them out.
Will the Thrill, where are you? :-)
Seriously though, so many great teams in this divisions that can beat each other - so how do you guess?...did I say guess? I meant predict...lol!

What's going on HS...aka "Lou Holtzie"
You know the deal baby...I'm lettin it all ride on SPT albeit not without SOME trepidations.
I gotta admit, I'm hangin on with one foot in the stirrups to that SFG bandwagon...they looked GOOD last week and big too.
And then there is my boys over there at 643..coming off that rain aided tourny victory last week. I still like their defense and that crafty lefty.
HS, you won't be mad at me if I make a little side bet on those Chili-dogs out of Homeplate. I know the odds are against them...after all, they've just ripped off 12 straight victories, but the long money is on them and I just gotta get a little piece of that action.
Now, I know my boy B-Balker is in "luuvvvveeeee" with those Buzz boys, not without good cause, but like I tell him all the time, I just don't think they have the depth at pitching to navigate all the land mines at this SNIT. We’ll see.
What about those Bama boys...will they let us waltz down there and run away with the hardware and yet a fourth Georgia e32 bid? I'm thinking those AL Bandits are aching to get back to national prominence; they may just show up and play some ball.
The Patriots are sporting a stellar record and a real nice win over our own EC Astros back a month or so. Then you got e32 qualified Mayhem Elite and the Bay County Heat all looking to make a bigger name for themselves at somebody else’s expense.
But if I had to go with a sleeper, it'd be the GAMERS RWB.."SOOUUUTH SIIDDDEEEEEE". IF they're healthy and have all their chambers loaded, they just might win this thing.
Or maybe the Bluejays "Weesssttttt Siiddddeeeeee" will finally get it done.
Bottom line, it's going to be an absolutely GREAT weekend of baseball. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous.
Good luck everybody. |

I think the site just locked up as everyone is trying to find out schedules.
From what I saw, some very good pool play match-ups.
We(Braves) have HS and the SP Titans.
Shuler, look forward to matching up again!
Safe travels to all the teams! Here's to great competition and sportsmanship this weekend!
See you at the fields. |

10's are out along with a lot others. Some good matchups and I agree with Steel-Will on his southside sleeper but there is a ton of talent in this one. Should be an awesome weekend of baseball. |

Don't know much about the teams 643 and Homeplate have. It is going to be an awesome tournament. May the best team win. |

Thanks Sooner!
Safe travels to you guys as well. We seem to be magnets for each other in the pool round whether it's a U-Trip or TC tourney. You think they'll let us play it up here Thursday night to save some field time? :-)
As always, it should be fun... |

Ok coaches,
This Auburn SNIT is going to be tough. Only the top 16 teams get to the bracket and once you get there, at 9:00am Sunday you'll have to play 1 game, with a break, and then 3 in a row to win it, or starting at 10:45am Sunday, win 4 straight!
What to you do? Come out hard with your biggest gun? What if you have one of those pesky and unpredictable AAA teams with a few really nice arms. Can you risk letting them hang around or do you come out "full blast", "balls to the wall", pounding the strike zone from inning one?
The thing with the AAA teams is if you give them a little light, a little confidence, a little momentum, next thing you know they think they can beat you!
What do you do? What's your strategy here?

Here is your Top 16 by USSSA Power Ranking & the 3-game pool schedule Opponent's Power ranking. I took the liberty to reduce Alabama AAA rankings by 200 points & bumped up Bay County by 65 points for there quality win against Mayhem Elite, Atlanta Blue Jays clearly have the most favorable road to a high bracket seed & the ability to save some pitching for Sunday. OTC, Bandits & RBI will have to scratch & claw there way out of pool games. HP, Sig Park, Gamers, ECB, Patriots, 6-4-3, & Bay County all have to avoid major hurdles in pool play....Bay County will have to play stellar to move on. Rampage, Stars, Bad Boys & OTC have pivotal Friday Night "Must Win" Games: Rampage vs OTC Stars vs Bad Boys

PC, I sure hope you didn't spend a lot of time putting that together as USSSA power rankings are about as relevant as yesterdays lottery numbers. Any one of these fine teams have a chance to win and we will know with absolute certainty by Sunday afternoon......unless the Tennessee USSSA director is running this tourney....:-) |

Will the Thrill,
I'll quote Herm Edwards here..."you play to win the game." What good is it to save pitching if you never get to use it? I only have one philosophy....survive and advance! I'm just saying, My Man... |

I enjoy reading these discussions as they are fun to see how everyone takes their own teams as well as the teams they know about. Truth is there are probably 8-12 teams that can win this thing. Don't let the AAA teams from AL fool you. Many of those guys would be major teams in most states. Weather permitting this is going to be a lot of fun. |

Couple of key points/games that everyone probably already noticed but here is my view::
The trio of West Forsyth/SF Giants and Mayhem Elite, someone is most likely not coming out of that group, assuming 1-2 does not get you in (remember only 16 make it not 20 like Atl SNIT). I assume all 3 of those teams beat beat the Al Rays, then it comes down to a key 9am WFDD/SF Giants game. Can these teams beat Mayhem Elite, yes, but the loser of that game makes it hard on themselves in many areas, most of all pitching.
If the EC Braves win their 1st 2 pool games before they play Signature Park, do they play to win or save pitching, knowing they are in, although they could improve seeding w/a win? Interesting to see if that scenario comes into play and how they see it.
Mark my words, 643, be careful w/the Bay County Heat, this is what SW and myself have been talking about the AAA teams. Bay County is not a AAA team. Are they the best Major team, probably not, but they are AAA in name only.
Winner of the Buzz/Renegades game goes 3-0 and earns a high seed. HomePlate, having already played Rampage 2-3 weeks ago in Auburn, will not take them lightly, b/c they again are a very good AAA team.
SW-Agreed Atl BJays go 3-0 and have a high seed, can they win 4 on Sunday? |

Guys,
All these predictions make for a good read but I don't think the coaches that I know in this division are buying into it. I am sure that every team in this tournament has at least one pitcher that is capable of winning every time he takes the mound. How many times have we all seen a good team have a bad game and lose? It happens all the time in baseball. Games aren't played on paper.
Here's my prediction...traffic will suck Friday leaving Atlanta and everyone who made a prediction will probably get something wrong! ;-)
