I'd like to hear some comments from the teams who played in the Triple Crown event in Savannah this past weekend (April 28-29) about Mavericks Baseball. They've beaten 3 Major teams ( Stixx, 6-4-3Jags, HP Meyer) and some top AAA's as well (Patiots-Red,& Elite Gamers RWB,. Only losses I can find are to Stixx and some 14U teams.
They are a scrappy team with a lot of great players. They play well together and have a lot of fun. They are fundamentally sound with hitters all the way thru the line up. They are well coached. They will not be AAA for long in my opinion. We will welcome them to the Major Division with open arms.
Biggest take away for me was the size and athleticism of most of the Stixx kids. What are you feeding those kids :0) Also, the fields were terrible... and the pitching mounds almost non-existent. Good tournament though. I would also mention that this stamp thing seems like a bunch of bull and just a clever marketing ploy to make everyone go out and buy a new bat. The way balls are flying off the bat there is no way these bats are any different to last year! Same bats with a stamp if you ask me.

I agree there is no difference what so ever in these bats besides the stamp on them. My son played school ball as an 8th grader on his JV and had to use the -3 so he has stuck with it. Said the old bats he used before are now too light. With that being said if he was still using his Triton he would have had numerous HR this year as he has taken several off the fence to this point.
