No medals, no trophies, nothing for the boys.Very disapointing. The Astros' coach accepted their team trophy and walked away. No words. Nothing. Our boys were happy with they way we played. It was weird, we left the park feeling like we were the big winners this weekend. |

Big tourney like that and no trophies for second place...I would be upset too.
Dont think I've ever been to a tourney with no 2nd place trophies, has anyone else? |

Atta way Smash Baseball! Hard work and good Coaching can take a team a long ways. BMoser is very proud of all the Smash Coaches and Family's. Keep up the hard work and great results.

Yankeedad, Just to clarify, We received a team trophy and were very thankfull for it. It was just odd there were no individual awards for the boys. |

I get it was a money grab for the Astros, but come on man. Spend $200 and get trophies (nice ones at that price) for the kids. When we won the ATPP we didn't get trophies, but we did get T-Shirts, which I thought was a decent cost alternative. I still went out and got the kids real trophies for winning the tournament. I doubt I would do it for 2nd place, but it seems even the Astros kids didn't get one. |

I like the t-shirt alternative. They will get more use out it than a plastic trophy. Good things happening at ATPP to draw in business. It is shame the fields are not bigger.
Pretty poor to not give out any medals to the teams though considering they made a killing at the gate (tournament even started a day earlier than usual). |

Enjoyed the opportunity to play this weekend. Sorry to hear the kids did not receive anything for placing first or second - Actually like the T-shirt, hat, etc. idea.
I was also surprised by the way bracket was set up . . . I really don't care how the pools are set up, but I felt bad for RBA, SP, and Georgia Select who all won their respective pools and then were scheduled to play 4 on Sunday to win the tournament. They had an uphill battle. Did anyone notice the four teams that reached the semis only had one game to reach the semis and three games on Sunday to win it all? Smash is the only Semi-finalist who played a fresh team on Sunday morning. Clearly, in this case, the three winners who had tough early Sunday games to reach the quarter-finals lost to a fresh pool winner or in two cases, a pool runner-up. I can see pool winners getting the advantage of only playing 3 on Sunday, but I don't understand why schedulers gave pool runners-up a similar advantage? In this case, it looks like it made a difference. |

I have seen our last 3 tournaments have the #1 seeds playing at 9AM on Sunday. Makes no sense to me |
