Well done to the East Cobb Titans for winning the 9U Slugfest (Gold bracket).
Also congratulations to a player with Sawnee Mountain Thunder who pitched a PERFECT game in the gold bracket playoff game against North Gwinnett Bulldogs (Red).
53 pitches, 36 strikes, 17 balls, 10 hitters struck out. A stunning performance from an 8 year old!

michael just go to www.triplecrownsports.com
and you will find it. Titans looked good this weekend. Congrats to the sawnee mountain pitcher pretty impressive for an 8yr. old playing up. I wonder how many 8's are playing on 9u teams.

He's not playing up, he's actually about to turn 9 so he's the second youngest on the team.

I agree with you smiths1. Several young 9u players are holding their own with the older kids. The SM pitcher is probably in 3rd grade and sitting down 4th graders (Impressive). I used to think the older players always had a physical/mental edge. Now, I look for the SMART athletic kids. Good luck this year and keep him throwing strikes!

Thanks 3 up 3 down! Yes he's a third grader but tall for his age. He's had issues in the past with controlling his emotions if things didn't go according to plan but on Sunday he had the demeanor of an assassin. It was a bit scary to be honest :) Barely said a word when we were at bat, just sat calmly waiting to go back out there.
