Tony, what is TripleCrown providing for the 1st and 2nd place teams/players this year? There was some conversation on this website last year regarding this topic. |

Hopefully it's more than a little medal this year. |

It would be nice if TC would give out trophies to the kids like most organizations do, especially considering they are more expensive to play in. They are still kids and could do without the towels and finalist medals. |

Gotta give TC some credit. They were updating their website at 3 AM and are still working hard to get this tournament in. I hope it works out as we are itching to play - BADLY. Good job TC! |

Not a bad set of final-4 contestants in this one at all.
The talk about the EC Braves looking good and looking to make a statement were all true!
Congrats to the EC Braves and all the other semi-finalists.
On another note it was a "lack-luster" performance by our Georgia Contingent in the the Mississippi SNIT.
They went 1-6 for the weekend with the only win coming from one Georgia team beating another!

Great weekend of Baseball. It was a war of attrition with the weather and the kids playing back to back to back games with very little or no rest. Both Semi-Finals going into extra innings.
Great start to the season all 4 teams deserving the spotlight.

HardBaller, thanks for the comments. Braves boys have been working very hard. Heck, by the looks of the competition this week, everyone has been working hard. Great competition...that echo's Cumming baseball comments - both semi's went into extra innings and the 'ship came down to the last play of the game.
Hat's off to all players, coaches and parents/siblings it was a tough go with weather/wind/cold.
Gonna be a great year at 10U!
See you all at the fields! |

Congrats to the Braves and NG Renegades. The Renegades had nothing but nailbiter games in bracket play. They were tied with Reebok going into the last inning, then their bats exploded! Their game against the Astros was even better as they played in extras. Then against the Braves, they came up short by one run. The Braves had an easier road to the ship, but they dominated the weekend. |

Mad, I wouldn't call having to beat West twice an easier road. It's Hard to beat anyone twice. It was a great weekend and I'm still getting the dirt out of my eyeballs from the whipping wind. Can't wait for Slugfest so we can all do it again. Hope the weather holds. |

Congrats to the Braves. You guys have a nice squad!! It's always a very competitive game when we go at it. And the Astros are as advertised, as usual.
The weather wasn't so great, but I guess that's why they call it the "Frost". We have been locked up indoors with our speed/agility work, so it was nice just to be outside.
Good luck to all and hopefully the rain stays away from the Slugfest!!! |
